Privacy policy
We are a small workshop, not an advertising company. This page lists every piece of personal data we hold, why we hold it, who we pass it to, and how to have it removed.

Who we are
Ice Skating Outfits is a made-to-measure dress workshop selling through iceskatingoutfits.com. For anything on this page โ including requests to see or delete your data โ write to [email protected].
What we collect
- To make and send a dress: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, the measurements you send, and any photos or notes you attach.
- To run your account: email, password (stored hashed), order history, points balance, discount codes used, and the referrer code if a friend sent you.
- To answer you: the content of enquiries and reviews you submit.
- To understand the site: pages viewed, referring link, country and device type. This is recorded on our own server, not sent to an advertising network.
What we do not collect
We never see or store card numbers. Payment is handled entirely by PayPal; we receive only a confirmation that the payment succeeded, the amount, and the payer's email address. We do not buy personal data from data brokers, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Why we hold it
To cut and sew the garment you ordered, to answer questions about it, to handle alterations and returns, to keep the accounting records we are legally required to keep, and to prevent fraudulent orders. Marketing email is only sent if you asked for it, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
Who else sees it
- PayPal โ to take payment and to issue refunds.
- The courier โ name, address and phone number, printed on the shipping label. Carriers require a phone number for customs.
- Our email provider โ order confirmations and replies travel through it.
- Our hosting provider and CDN โ the servers that run this site and deliver its pages.
- Authorities โ only where we are legally obliged, or where it is necessary to defend a legal claim.
These providers are in different countries, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in. Where that happens it is covered by the provider's own data-processing terms.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies: one to keep your basket, one to keep you signed in, one to remember where you came from (so a referral is credited correctly), and one to stop the same visitor being counted twice in our own traffic statistics. Turning cookies off in your browser will break the basket and sign-in, but nothing else.
How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for six years, because tax rules require it. Measurements and photos stay with your account so a repeat order does not need re-measuring โ ask us and we will delete them while keeping the invoice. Enquiries are deleted after two years. Site analytics are aggregated and kept for two years.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to a particular use, or ask us to transfer your data to another service. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we may have to keep invoice records even after a deletion request, because the law requires it.
Children
Most of our customers are adults buying for a young skater, and that is how the shop is set up. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 16; where a dress is ordered for a child, the order, the account and the data belong to the parent or guardian.
Photographs
Photos you send us for fit checks or alterations are used for that purpose only. We do not publish a customer photo on the site or on social media without asking you first, in writing, and you can withdraw that permission later.
